A very pleasant and friendly place to shop. Employees are very helpful. It has the very best produce, and the meat counter is staffed with an excellent butcher. Parking is easy. The grocery shelves offer a large selection.

Small town grocery store with a heart! Al's has been in the Castro Valley community for many years and in this day in age of super big grocery chains it is a utter delight to have quality customer service like the old days!

I have shopped at Al's Market for years. I love their dedication to high quality meat and produce, and excellent service. I also love that they greet me by name, as they do other customers. Even though I have moved from Castro Valley, I still stop by to shop every time I am in the area. I wish there were an Al's in my town.
