Wanted to get away for 4th of July. Chose this hotel, place looked sweet and it had a pool. My husband has to swim every day for his spinal stenosis. Arrived and saw pool empty. Went to the office to check in, had to wait and wait, rang bell for service; finally older gentleman arrived and helped us. Asked about the pool. This place is in a very good location but there is no cell phone coverage. Wi-Fi worked well and that was enough for us with WhatsApp, etc. Breakfast is really not free.. they add $2.00 per person as a line item in your bill. I would rate the quality of breakfast as average. I read somewhere the front desk person is not friendly. That is really not true. He is the owner and spoke to us nicely...

Alpine Inn is NOT 16 miles from Hunter Mountain per Expedia. It is 24 at best using main roads to the ski resort. This made for a long, dark ride home from the Taste of Country Festival held at the mountain. Pool was closed for the weekend- also disappointing. The Inn is quite dated, but well kept.
