They have similar movie theater/restaurant places in other cities but Austin and the Alamo Drafthouse have it exactly right! They have a great beer selection, good movies, and the seating here is really comfy. Definitely get there an hour to 45 minutes early and get in line for a good seat and put an order in as soon as you sit down because this place gets crowded fast. The waiting is no problem though ...

The Alamo is by far a great place to take out of town guests or simply enjoy a night out. The food is excellent. You must understand the servers are trying to avoid getting in the way fo the movie and working in dim lighting. I love the idea of drinking and watching a movie, but getting your drink at the end of the movie,,, and the girl didn't even apologize she just slammed the wine bottle on the table and didn't even pour our glasses, and the food didn't come till the end of the movie.. it's overpriced for what it is
