$10 tasting was the highest. Some wines sold out. Average red wine but high priced for a taste and small pours compared to other wine tastings around the USA.
Nice family owned vineyard with a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Very cozy atmosphere inside with a beautiful view of the grapevines and mountains outside.
Several wines were sold out or not part of the tasting. Long narrow driveway was a challenge on a busy Sunday.

Afton Mountain Vineyards Corp is located at 234 Vineyard Ln in Afton and has been in the business of Wine since 1990.
Wine and distilled beverages
Located in a cluster of wineries just 15 minutes west of Charlottesville, Afton Mtn is one of the oldest wineries in the area. Great wines, including a sparkling Chardonnay/Pinot wine made in the traditional Champagne method. Just up the road from Veritas and Cardinal Point.
Just 20 minutes west of Charlottesville (64 west to 151 and follow the wine signs) in a cluster of wineries and breweries, this is a wonderful place to drink in the view, wine taste and bring a picnic! Tastings are offered at no charge.
When to Go: Although tours are offered year-round, the hours are extended from March through December.
