In the land of authentic Mexican food, Acapulco is just "okay". Nothing on their menu is really new or exciting, and I feel that local places do a better job serving up delicious Mexican food. Feel as if you are on a mini vacation when you walk through the doors of this beautiful restaurant which has a warm atmosphere where the people are friendly and the service is great. All of your favorite traditional Mexican foods are on the menu and their cantina serves world-class margaritas, cocktails, and ice cold Mexican beers.
On Mondays, house margaritas are $2.25 until 10 p.m.
Mondays tend to draw the college kids, while Tuesdays are more popular among an older clientele. Other nights are more mixed.
The best spot in the house is table #36, also known as The Library. Comfortably seating 5 people, it is separated from the rest of the dining room by rich wood paneling and old-fashioned shelving.
The restaurant offers burritos "by the foot" to go. They're available in 3 foot, 4 foot and 5 foot portions. The largest feeds up to 15 people.
