I initially rated the pricing at $$$, but actually found many items priced $$. I did some price comparisons between them and another outlet that sells sporting equipment and found that many of the items at Academy were priced less. I was primarily looking for new hiking shoes. Customer service was excellent! The gentleman (Eric) at customer service took the time to assist me with ordering a smoker to ship to my brother in California. I never felt rushed even though there was a long line forming behind me. He made sure my order was throughly complete. Thanks for making my first experience at Academy an awesome one!

Love this store! The people have always been nice for the most part with the select few who seem to be a bit younger. But I find that every where I go, most younger school aged employees seem rude or they just don't know anything. But overall this is a great place for all your sports, workout, outdoors type stuff!

I came in looking for a 30oz Yeti tumbler, but I could only find the koozie. I walked around for about ten minutes before I asked for help. The person told me the Yeti stuff was "up front". So I spend another ten minutes looking around up front. I found a little stand with some Yeti stuff. I guess they don't have the 30oz tumblers, even though the website sells them. Oh well, I'll check elsewhere.
