We used Abrazo to build our family two years ago and believe they are a highly ethical agency. Their focus is on matching expectant mothers with families who are committed to open adoptions. They provide education for everyone before placement and provide support post-placement as well to help with healing and everyone's commitment to openness. Our child's birth mother was treated with respect and loves this agency. We love them, too and will definitely use them again when we complete our family.
While I recognize the previous review is outdated let it be said that Abrazo has had an exemplary record with DFPS and is on the most limited monitoring schedule. Likewise, there are no issues with the AG in ANY city. Abrazo is an extremely ethical and reputable adoption agency.
In its nearly fifteen years of placing nearly a thousand children with loving families there have been a very small handful of disgruntled folks. This has much less to do with the agency and much more to do with those who have the complaints.
I would encourage everyone adopting to check the Texas Attorney Generals Office as well as the DFPS and the BBB. Be sure to check the AG in both Austin and IN San Antonio.
Abrazo is based in San Antonio but they provide awesome adoption services all over, they are a nonprofit adoption agency that's #1 in open adoption and they are THE BEST!
