I walked into the store looking for something called ' The Baby CUB '...i explained to the clerks that the other stores around town were sold out and i thought about checking here. They had NO idea what I was talking about. I explained it was something new on the market and that i assumed they would have it because it's what is flying off the shelves. Again, the clerk, who looked to be 16, had no idea. I asked if they were going to start carrying it along with the other breastfeeding cover they have, which is useless and she said..."" inconsistent pricing

I went in for a prenatal cradle. Online, it sells for $60 at their website, shipping is extra. In the store, it sells for $73. When I asked why the difference, the associate on the phone told me it has to do with shipping. that would make sense to me if online was more expensive, but not less. Online, the pricing breaks out as follows:

Subtotal $60.00
Shipping $10.21
Tax $4.95
Total $75.16

same item in store:
73 + 6.02 tax = $79.02

I've never heard of paying more for going into the store and saving them the hassle of mailing a product.

This store is really wonderful for the attachment parenting set. It is great to see a store that sells baby slings and such a large amount of breastfeeding supplies in a place like Houston--not a place you typically think of as the attachment parenting capital of the USA. They are a bit pricey (what do you expect from Rice Village) but other than this small fact it is wonderful--I highly recommend a trip there if you are pregnant or have a baby!
