A Taste of Caribbean. This was our last stop on the Jerk trip when I was on the Star Ledger Munchmobile this past June. I really enjoyed the Jerk Chicken, was juicy and had nice tasting skin. The Curry Goat, the oxtails were also pretty good. We had a Shrimp and vegetable stir fry, the shrimp were delicious but the vegetables in the dish tasted like they came from a frozen bag. Pretty good food for a reasonable price. Fairly authentic and certainly tasty. Call ahead, though, because the service is mercilessly slow.

I eat meat possibly once/twice a month....and when I do...I like to do it GOOD!So I was sad when the BBQ place that had some good oxtail in wo-town...

Authentic Caribbean food is served at this quaint, little restaurant on Main Street. The eatery offers a menu full of favorites, including stewed, baked and curried chicken, oxtail, curry goat, shrimp, salads, callaloo and cabbage. Jamaican baked products are also served. The atmosphere is friendly and authentic. Park in the back and enter from the rear entrance.
