Bazzini is a store that's proud of its past, as evidenced by the oversized "1886" emblazoned on the back of employee T-shirts. That was the year Anthony Bazzini bought the nut-processing plant where he was hired when he first came to America from Italy. Today, the A.L. Bazzini Company processes its nuts in the Bronx, while the original plant has been transformed into a gleaming gourmet grocery....

Living around the corner I sometimes forget how bad the service is here. When I do occassionally venture inside it's not without wasting at least 35 minutes of my life for something as simple as a sandwich or coffee. The people working there don't pay attention to you, they rarely get your order right and you can't even find them when you want to pay. Don't wast your time here, no matter...

A.L. Bazzini Co., Inc makes there own nuts and has a great variety of nuts including cahsew, peanuts etc.They like to chocolate cover things and they do a pretty good job. Everything tastes fresh and definitely worth a visit when in Tribeca.
I love this place. Along with the famous nuts, the shop offers great take-out meals (roast chicken, veggie salads...) and very nice produce. The small coffee shop on the side is a nice place to grab a casual nosh at lunch or breakfast.
