Stated "motherboard" broken. Quoted $390; never mentioned the cost was close to the cost of the same model new - he should let people know when the cost is so high it's not worth repairing. Took two weeks & several calls to get part. 2ndTRIP-Installed motherboard & cleaned washer. Asked for old part to keep but was told not necessary since warranty through them. He couldn't stay for the machine to go through whole cycle but call if problems. As the test run continued, it was doing the exact SAME thing as before. Nothing was resolved. 3rdTRIP Sr.Tech looked at dishwasher, said he "might" have fixed it. I phoned later; dishwasher still not working. He needed to do "research" & would call. We called 3 times before we found out the research was they had ALREADY ordered ANOTHER part, but didn't know price. We called again to find price was $120 but no service charge or labor. Total repair iup to $510;more than new dishwasher. With no guarantee that this will fix the problem, it is obvious that they are guessing at the solution. It was not the motherboard since it has the SAME problems as the first visit. When technician couldn't find the problem, he should have said the diagnosis & repair would cost almost as much as a new dishwasher.
