Connie L. A-1 Starter does not do oil changes. You must have went to some other business called A-1. We do have a customer waiting area,and have no pets here.

I took my girlfriends car here after an alternator problem on her 05 Focus and am very glad I did. After James examined the car he found that we just needed to replace a relay in the alternator. Other shops were going to charge us $475 for an alternator plus labor ($636 at one shop). James' expertise saved us several hundred dollars, which I am very greatful for!

If you need an alternator in San Marcos, I definitely recommend this place. As the name implies, they specialize in rebuilding and repairing alternators and starters. True, the location and shop are not exactly customer friendly, and the staff could work on their social skills, but they get the job done and give honest, accurate estimates.
