I called A1 American on a referral from a friend to come unclog a drain on 1/3/09. They said it would be $150 to come out to look plus repairs, and I agreed. The serviceman came out, looked around for 5 minutes, and then gave me a quote of $975.47 (including the 15% coupon from the phonebook) to snake my drain. I refused the work and he left with the $150.
