Dining at this '50s-style art deco diner is a must for fans of Route 66 nostalgia, and the upbeat decor and friendly service also make it a hit with families. The specialties here are many: chicken-fried steak, burgers, malted milk shakes, enchiladas. Plenty of breakfast treats are available, too. www.66diner.com . AE, D, MC, V.

In Short Located on its historic namesake (now known as Central Avenue), the diner beckons people back to the time of bebop and soda pop. The fully stocked jukebox has all the classics you'd expect. Like a trip back in time to the days when Martin Milner and George Maharis got "their kicks on Route 66," this thoroughly 1950s-style diner comes complete with Seeburg jukebox and full-service soda fountain. The white caps make great green-chile cheeseburgers, along with meatloaf sandwiches, grilled liver and onions, and chicken-fried steaks. Ham-and-egg and pancake breakfasts are served on... more

I was here for a late dinner. This is on the old route 66, and at least inside the diner you get that old-time feeling, or at least what as a younger person you imagine that old-time feeling to be. Yes, the milkshakes are good, and the burgers are decent. I'd say go for the atmosphere.

What a fun, interesting place at which to have a meal. Decor is from the 1960's, and food is good home cooked meals. The milk shakes are delicious! They have a great display of Pez dispensers.

The milkshakes here were wonderful as well as all of the food. The prices were good and the staff was excellent. We had a larger party and they got us seated, food ordered and then served quickly.
