The Scene
With its high ceiling and dark wood paneling, the bar tries to capture the elegance of the adjoining Hotel Phillips, but without being stuffy. The comfort level is modest, but...
We ended up here due to trying to find a place to go last minute that would take a later reservation. The hotel is very cool and loved the look and feel. If we could have been earlier the brunch aspect might be better. The food was fine, we missed new prime rib being brought out as we left a new cut was brought out. I thought the selection was lacking for the price. It all tasted good. I think...
First time visit. Used discount available through KC Broadway Series. Great deal of free valet parking plus 10% discount on food. Will do again if offered for another show.
It had been awhile since I'd been to 12 Baltimore at the Hotel Phillips and I have to say that it exceeded my expectations. We had an early lunch prior to a performance at the Music Hall and their complementary valet parking plus the delicious lunch (salad and sandwich) added to a very enjoyable day. I will definitely go back to 12 Baltimore and look forward to trying out other things on their...
Our whole experience was great, from the valet parking to the end of the meal! We were on our way to a Broadway show and found the location and food to be worth repeating!
Based in a lovely historic hotel - the Hotel Phillips - the restaurant 12 Baltimore is to be commended for enticing menu options, a nice ambiance, and our server was wonderful!

What to Drink: The bar has a very solid list of single-malt scotches. Many of the top Glens are represented--Glenlivet, Glenfiddich, Glenmorangie, Glenkinchie--as well as Macallan and Oban. A selection of cigars is also on hand.
Where to Sit: Weekend nights sometimes feature live music, which can get pretty loud in the vaulted room. If you see a live band when you walk in, save your ears--and conversations--by sitting against the back wall.
