The opening buzz from chefs Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette's tapas joint still remains—for good reason. Small plates such as grilled corn with aioli and cotija cheese are hefty enough to make a meal out of a few, or you can share the regular or vegetarian paella with a group. An all-Spanish wine list complements the plates. Crowds have been known to wait it out for more than an hour for...

Toro Restaurant Review

The restaurants in Ken Oringer’s empire --- New French destination Clio, sashimi bar Uni and red-hot taqueria La Verdad among them --- are all well and good. But dollar for dollar, this tapas bar he runs with chef Jamie Bissonnette remains our favorite. Displaying all the brick-and-wood rusticity of its progenitors, it contains an open kitchen turning out Spanish tidbits, authentic in spirit as...

But over these last few decades, the neighborhood — which is just minutes from the Bunker Hill Monument — has been quiet. Now, a new wave of development is slowly picking up, with a church on the way to becoming a pharmacy, health clinic, and concert hall, and with a restaurant,...

This place is nearly always packed in the afternoon, and for a good reason! The food here is exceptional, and the idea of tapas makes dinner substantially more enjoyable! Toro is also a great spot to grab some drinks with friends if you can find a spot to squeeze in at the bar. The wait time is usually an issue, but trust me it's worth the wait!

Some of the best tapas I have ever eaten. Busy atmosphere but I was accommodated quickly and there was no long wait for food. The bone marrow and oxtail dish was to die for! I fully intend on driving back down for that soon!
