This flagship bar in the 1912 Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel had a centennial stem-to-stern makeover that reconstituted the oak paneling, opened up catbird views over Copley Square, and added sky-high coffered ceilings and a flashy pizza oven. Outdoor seating opens on the Boston Public Library. As you people-watch, peruse a generous menu of signature martinis, single malts, shareable platters, and...

Past guests, including one Judy Garland, felt at home in this decadent, unabashedly romantic hotel that underwent a $20-million renovation in early 2012. The tiny fitness center was replaced by a rooftop facility that spans 3,000 square feet; the new restaurant/bar OAK Long Bar + Kitchen is hipper and sleeker than the old Oak Room, and all guestrooms received updates. Those who really love...

"Old-world elegance" characterizes this "charming" and "stately" circa-1912 grande dame with an "ideal" location in historic Back Bay, a "classic" ambiance that makes guests feel "transported to an earlier time", and "top-notch" service; recent renovations added a spacious rooftop fitness club and turned its Oak Bar + Kitchen into a popular "destination in its own right", and though rooms can...

The "grande dame of Boston" is a classic old-fashioned grand hotel, with a clientele of leisure and business travelers who expect luxurious lodgings and superior service. Built in 1912, the seven-story Renaissance-revival building faces beautiful Copley Square. The spacious, painstakingly maintained guest rooms have a residential feel, with plush draperies and upholstery and custom furnishings,...

Great hotel with top notch staff and service. It has a historic elegance which I appreciate. It also has a few challenges of the historic elegance including an outdated layout. I would not change a thing and I enjoyed our weekend in Boston with our college student.

Great location in Copley Square.

My friend and I shared a room. It was oddly hard to find a room with two queen beds for our time frame. This room was large, had a great closet and bath and we did not feel cramped. The Concierge lounge was beautiful, and the breakfast buffet was excellent.
