We heard about Emerson Kennels through a friend at a veterinarian's office in 2003. I have been taking my pets to Emerson Kennels ever since. My 2 dogs and cat are always well-cared for, healthy, clean, happy and safe. One of my dogs is an escape artist, so Dorie always keeps a special eye on him. My dogs love her. Sometimes we are only gone for one night, and some, like last year, they stayed for two and a half weeks while we were out of the country. Dorie is an animal lover and a wonderful person. I would not even consider leaving my pets somewhere else.

Well,

It does have a bit of an aroma, but with its age and building materials it is difficult to get the smell out.

I did note the use of bleach in cleaning out the kennels.

I used the facility a few weeks ago about the time the last commenter said ""It stinks"". They were having a drainage problem and a plumber was out there. Perhaps that was the smell issue?

I will take my dog there again. No it isn't a doggie spa, but it is a kennel that feed, walks, cares and plays with your pooches.

If you're on a budget and it is the place to go.

The lady seems very nice but you can smell the place as soon as you turn into it. The kennels are outside, old with corrugated aluminum for the roof. Inside it's shabby and there are large akita dogs in small portable kennels. I would not keep my dog here not matter how nice the caretaker is which is obvious that she is. yuk People who've left glowing reviews are obviously friends.
