Brentwood Appliance Service Today

Very poor service

I called A Bargain Appliance to service my washing machine since it would not agitate. The tech (JOE) representing Appliance Repair Of Jacksonville was very unprofessional. He first instructed me to get out of his way. How I could be in his way standing beside the washer is/was a mystery to me. I simply was attempting to explain to him what the machine was doing or not doing. Before I could, he cut me off and said, "I've been doing this for 5 years and I have plenty of experience to make the decision for myself." At that point, I realized I wasn't dealing with a company that I could trust for anything.

He then kneeled down and peered into the darkened guts of the machine. I had a flash light and proceeded to help him by shining the light inside the washing machine. That's when he quickly told me not to do that. Again, I was floored by the lack of professionalism. After looking at the motor (for no more than 5 seconds), he lifts himself up and says, "You need to buy a new washer".

All of this without testing the inline thermal fuse or the start capacitor on the machine. He looked at the motor and said, 'You don't want to mess with a motor like that'. At which time, I asked him to test the fuse as well as the capacitor. He said he would go and get tools and return. I assumed he was going to his van to retrieve the tools. When I looked out of the window, he cranked up his van and drove away with no word of what he was doing.

I am very disturbed at the behavior of this technician by the name of Joe. He was very unprofessional and failed to make a thorough diagnosis of the problem. The fact he drove away without saying a word is enough for me to contact the BBB and report this company for poor service.

I am still amazed the technician drove away with no word on returning. I called the main number and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Sidney. Sidney told me he would contact Joe and have him call me back to instruct me when he would return. I have yet to receive a call back from either person.
